Curing Oven
Composite curing ovens are key equipment for the hot-press curing and forming of non-metallic matrix composite products. They enable heating, curing and forming under vacuum conditions.
The curing process involves sealing composite blanks, honeycomb sandwich structures or bonded structures on molds with vacuum bags, then placing them in the oven. Through heating, heat preservation (medium/high temperature) and cooling cycles under vacuum or non-vacuum conditions, the desired products are formed.
Curing of composite matrix resins depends on the resin’s molecular structure and other components (curing agents, crosslinking accelerators, etc.). Temperature, pressure and time are critical process parameters, which must be precisely controlled by the curing oven based on the resin’s molecular structure changes.
